Fall break is just around the corner, and true to tradition, Odense Aafart ends the season with a bunch of great offers!
The fall break is the last opportunity this year to experience Odense Aafart on the water. In week 42, you can still get out on the Odense River and enjoy fall from the front row – with boat trips, pedal boats, canoes and fun family experiences in nature.
At the same time, guests help us empty the ice cream shop before we close down for the season. That’s why all ice cream in the kiosk is half price while stocks last. It’s the perfect opportunity to combine a trip on the river with a sweet break by the water.
Take a trip on Odense River during the fall break
A boat trip with Odense Aafart gives you a calm and atmospheric experience through Odense’s green river valley. From the boat you can enjoy the colors of autumn as you sail between Munke Mose and Fruens Bøge.
The boats are still sailing during the fall holidays and the trip is a fun activity for families, couples and visitors to the city alike.
Active day on the water: pedal boats and canoes
If you want to be active, you can also go out on the river in pedal boats or canoes. Here you can set your own pace as you sail through the beautiful nature along Odense River.
It’s a great activity during the fall holidays for families who want to combine fresh air, movement and nature experiences in the middle of Odense.
Theodor's Secret Gold Treasure
If you need a different autumn holiday experience on Funen for the whole family, it’s obvious to go on Theodor’s Secret Gold Treasure Hunt.
Adventure, history, stories, riddles and brain teasers – all wrapped up in Odense’s beautiful nature around the river.
Once you’ve sailed to Fruens Bøge Forest, you have one hour to solve six riddles and crack the code to the gold treasure before the boat sails you back to Munke Mose. It’s important that you all pay attention – Piggy Gorm might be lurking around Fruens Bøge looking for the same clues as you – or trying to trick you.
The treasure hunt is intended for children aged 4 – 11 years and takes 2 hours in total including the boat trip there and back.
How it works:
You can go on a treasure hunt every day we sail. You book tickets for our River cruise on Odense River and purchase a treasure hunt kit. You can buy the treasure hunt either as an add-on online when you book the River cruise on Odense River or in our ticket office. Each family must have 1 set (we recommend a maximum of 5 people per set).
Empty the ice cream shop - half price ice cream
Before the season ends, the kiosk needs to be emptied. That’s why all ice cream is half price during the fall break. As always, the treat is homemade and the perfect way to end a trip on the water.
Odense Zoo
Odense Zoo is a great activity for your fall vacation. Odense Zoo is a cozy zoo with many different animals from all over the world. It is possible to take one of Odense Aafart’s tour boats from Munke Mose to Odense Zoo. After the visit, it is possible to take the tour boat back to Munke Mose again. When you buy a ticket with one of the tour boats, it is valid all day.
