We are happy to organize your very own beer tasting on board the tour boat. Let our experienced beer expert set the scene for your next event or corporate event.
You choose the theme and the only limit is your imagination. You can choose one of the themes from our popular beer tastings or your very own theme.

“Put together your own beer tasting” is a private event where you combine sailing on Odense River with a guided beer tasting on board. A beer expert guides you through tasting and stories about beer types, brewing and taste nuances.
How long has Odense Aafart been communicating history on the Odense River?
Odense Aafart has sailed on the Odense River for over 130 years and has for generations communicated the city’s history and nature to both locals and visitors.
Is it a regular sailing trip?
No, it isn’t. The voyage sets the scene for the beer tasting, which is the central element of the experience.
What makes this experience different?
You get a private boat, a professional host and a complex beer tasting in scenic surroundings – in the middle of Odense River. It’s a different setting than a classic tasting on land.
Is the beer tasting mostly aimed at tourists or locals?
Primarily groups such as companies, associations and groups of friends – but also ideal for guests from outside who want a social and informal experience in Odense.
Route & Stop
Where does the sailing take place?
The cruise takes place on Odense River on the same stretch as Aafart’s other private events – from Munke Mose and out towards Fruens Bøge.
Can the route be customized?
For private bookings, we can customize the duration and focus to suit your program.
Can you get off on the way?
No, the tasting takes place during the voyage itself. Any special requests will be agreed in advance.
Can you sail to the Funen Village?
Yes, Odense Aafart offers sailing Fruens Bøge forest, which is close to the Funen Village. From Aafart’s jetty, it’s about 900 meters walk in the beautiful beech forest along the river.
You can therefore sail with Odense Aafart and experience the Museum in the Funen Village, H.C. Andersen Festival and concerts.
How long does the event last?
The duration depends on how long you rent the tour boat. The beer tasting is scheduled as part of the agreed sailing time.
Tickets & Booking
How do I book a beer tasting?
The event is booked as a private group experience via Odense Aafart. You send an inquiry with the desired date, number of participants and duration.
How far in advance should I book?
Beer tasting always requires advance booking. It is recommended to book well in advance – especially during peak season.
Can the event be used as a gift?
Yes, the beer tasting can be used as a gift experience for companies or private groups.
Practical information on board
Can I bring dogs?
For private tours, this is agreed individually when booking.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so you need a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Walkers can be brought along.
Can I bring my own drinks and food and enjoy them while sailing?
Yes, but not on tours where we sell drinks (e.g. Musik på Åen). It must not be a nuisance to others. We recommend that you order drinks in advance in our kiosk to save you the hassle. It will be packed and ready before departure.
For private tours, this can be agreed upon booking.
Can I bring a stroller?
For a private tour, strollers can be brought along by appointment.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
