You’ll have the opportunity to solve mysteries and puzzles together in a thrilling hunt for the truth, where we take the best of team building, escape rooms and puzzle hunting and combine it with an idyllic boat trip.
Mystery Tours with Odense Aafart is a wonderful cocktail of teamwork, competition and a trip into Odense’s amazing and dramatic history. It’s intelligent entertainment and tailor-made team building for both small and large companies, where you have to use your heads and show your ability to work together.
The Secret Brotherhood
Together with your friends or colleagues, you will be sent off on the Aafarten from Munke Mose, where it’s easy to be transported back to the time when the boats were only for the city’s richest and finest, who were transported from Munke Mose to the many places to drink, party, eat and dance in Fruens Bøge.
However, in all this joy, no one ever knew that for centuries the city has been influenced and held down by secret, dark forces and a brotherhood of men who had their own agenda and valuable interests in pursuit of the legacy of Oluf Bager.
Now it’s your turn to help solve it.
Here's how it works
At the start of the tour at Aafarten in Munke Mose, each team is handed a tablet, and as the boat sails towards Fruens Bøge, the story of Oluf Bager and the secret brotherhood is told and the first clues are presented.
Then, upon arrival at Fruens Bøge, the race against time to solve the mystery of the secret brotherhood begins. Here you will have the opportunity to experience a time when Fruens Bøge was the center of upper-class parties and – perhaps – secret alliances. You’ll have to think fast, lie, act, piece together the puzzle of clues and overcome numerous obstacles.
After a few fun hours, the boat returns and the winning team is announced. And then the evening and the city are still open for continued fun.
Mystery Tour is the perfect choice for a fun afternoon with friends or as a corporate event where teamwork and patience are put to the test.

Odense Aafart has sailed on the Odense River for over 130 years and has for generations communicated the city’s history and nature to both locals and visitors.

Route & Stop
Where does the sailing take place?
The cruise takes place on Odense River on the same route as Aafart’s other private events – departing from Munke Mose and sailing towards Fruens Bøge. The trip can also start from Fruens Bøge and end at Munke Mose.

Can you get off on the way?
Mystery Tours are conducted as a complete experience and there is generally no pick-up and drop-off along the way.
How long does a Mystery Tour last?
The duration depends on the specific Mystery Tour, but follows the planned sailing of the event.
Tickets & Booking
Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?
Yes, Mystery Tours require ticket purchase in advance via Odense Aafart’s website, as there are a limited number of seats.
Can you use gift cards?
Yes, if the gift card is valid for Odense Aafart events, it can be used when booking.
Are there fixed dates?
Yes, Mystery Tours are held on selected dates and times.
Practical information on board
Can I bring dogs?
For private tours, this is agreed individually when booking.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.
Can I bring my own drinks and food and enjoy them while sailing?
This depends on the specific Mystery Tour. If drinks are sold on board, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks.
Can I bring a stroller?
For a private tour, strollers can be brought along by appointment.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
