We are happy to organize your very own wine tasting on board the tour boat. Let our experienced sommelier set the scene for your next event or corporate event.
You choose the theme and the only limit is your imagination. You can choose one of the themes from our popular wine tastings or your very own theme.
Look forward to a cozy and relaxed evening and not least a fantastic taste experience while enjoying the view of the picturesque nature. There is hardly any better way to experience Odense River.
The atmosphere is relaxed and there is plenty of room for both chatting and socializing on board.

What is "Private Wine Tasting"?
“Put together your own wine tasting” is a private event where you combine sailing on Odense River with a guided wine tasting on board. A wine expert guides you through selected wines and tells you about grapes, regions, flavors and serving.
Is it a regular sailing trip?
Above. The cruise sets the scene for the wine tasting, which is the central element of the experience.
What makes this experience different?
You get a private tour boat, a professional host and a complex wine tasting in scenic surroundings. The combination of wine, storytelling and sailing provides a different experience than a traditional wine tasting on land.
Is the wine tasting aimed more at tourists or locals?
The experience is primarily aimed at companies, associations and groups of friends – but is also ideal for guests from outside the city who want a special experience in Odense.
Route & Stop
Where does the sailing take place?
The cruise takes place on Odense River on the same route as Aafart’s other private events – departing from Munke Mose and sailing towards Fruens Bøge.
Can the route be customized?
For private bookings, we can customize the duration and focus to suit your program.
Can you get off on the way?
No, the wine tasting takes place during the cruise. Any special requests must be agreed in advance.
Can you sail to the Funen Village?
Yes, Odense Aafart offers sailing Fruens Bøge forest, which is close to the Funen Village. Fra Aafartens anløbsbro er der ca. 900 meters gang i den smukke bøgeskov langs åen.
You can therefore sail with Odense Aafart and experience the Museum in the Funen Village, H.C. Andersen Festival and concerts.
How long does the event last?
The duration depends on how long you rent the tour boat. The wine tasting is scheduled as part of the agreed sailing time.

How do I book a wine tasting?
The event is booked as a private group experience via Odense Aafart. Send a request with the desired date, number of participants and duration further up the page.
Practical information on board
Can I bring dogs?
For private tours, this is agreed individually when booking.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.
Can I bring my own drinks and food and enjoy them while sailing?
Yes, but not on tours where we sell drinks (e.g. Musik på Åen). It must not be a nuisance to others. We recommend that you order drinks in advance in our kiosk to save you the hassle. It will be packed and ready before departure.
For private tours, this can be agreed upon booking.
Can I bring a stroller?
For a private tour, strollers can be brought along by appointment.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
