Take your colleagues on an idyllic boat trip on the green Odense River, where you can get away from everyday life and enjoy each other’s company in relaxed surroundings. A boat trip is ideal for team building, social events or a nice break from the office.
If you rent your own tour boat, we also offer coffee, tea and cake for an attractive package deal, which can be enjoyed on board throughout the tour.

Put together your own wine tasting
When hiring your own tour boat, you can also purchase an atmospheric wine or gin tasting.
As we sail calmly up the Odense River, you will be introduced to the selected tastings and get plenty of opportunity to enjoy both nature and each other’s company.
You are free to choose the theme that best suits your event. It could be a rosé tasting, champagne tasting, sparkling wines, French or Italian wines – or perhaps a gin tasting for those who want something different.

Odense Aafart offers various guided tours that can be tailored to your corporate event, excursion or social gathering. A guided boat trip is an obvious opportunity to combine experiences, fellowship and stories in beautiful surroundings on the Odense River.

Guided tour
The tour begins in Munkemose and goes past the beautiful villas in the Hunderup neighborhood, Odense Zoo and ends in the beech forest at Fruens Bøge. Along the way, our guide will tell you about the sights and areas you experience from the boat.
The wings of history
An exciting historical lecture about Odense Aafart’s history since 1882. Hear the story of the time when the sailing trip was reserved for the rich and famous who were going to a ball in Fruens Bøge, as well as the major events and challenges through time.

Make your big day special with an atmospheric boat trip through the beautiful nature along
Sail up the Odense River with your loved ones and enjoy the tranquility, the view and each other’s company. Cold drinks and sweets can be served along the way if you wish, while you drift through the green and idyllic surroundings.
You also have the option to decorate the boat exactly as you wish to match the atmosphere and look of your wedding and personal style.
At Odense Aafart, you can choose to start your wedding day with a romantic boat trip on Odense River before dinner. You can also choose to have the ceremony on board the boat or in the idyllic surroundings at Fruens Bøge. The boat can also serve as transportation to Fruens Bøge or Odense Zoo, where it is also possible to hold your ceremony.
Sailing with music
Bring music along for the ride. Sailing is a great experience on its own, but add live music and you’ve got an event in a different league.
Aafarten can recommend a handful of musicians and orchestras that always deliver the goods and create a great atmosphere on board.
Whether you’re into acoustic rock/pop, jazz, guitar, accordion or folk songs – we have it.

What does it mean to rent a tour boat?
When you rent a tour boat from Odense Aafart, you get your own private boat with a captain for your event. The tour takes place on Odense River and is customized to your wishes and duration.

Odense Aafart has sailed on the Odense River for over 130 years and has for generations communicated the city’s history and nature to both locals and visitors.
Who can rent a tour boat?
Private groups, companies, associations and corporations can rent a tour boat. It is often used for corporate events, birthdays, receptions, networking meetings and social events.
What makes renting a private tour boat special?
You get a closed and exclusive setting on the water, where you decide the atmosphere, program and catering. It provides a different and atmospheric experience in the middle of Odense.

Where do you sail when you rent a tour boat?
The trip takes place on Odense River between Munke Mose and Fruens Bøge – the same stretch as the other tour boats.
Can the route be customized?
For private bookings, we can customize the duration and focus to suit your program.
Can you be dropped off en route?
It is possible to arrange stops, for example in Fruens Bøge, if planned in advance.
Can you sail to the Funen Village?
Yes, Odense Aafart offers sailing Fruens Bøge forest, which is close to the Funen Village. From Aafart’s jetty, it’s about 900 meters walk in the beautiful beech forest along the river.
You can therefore sail with Odense Aafart and experience the Museum in the Funen Village, H.C. Andersen Festival and concerts.

The duration depends on how long you rent the tour boat.

How do I book a tour boat?
Tour boat rental requires advance booking by contacting Odense Aafart. This is typically done via form, email or phone.
When is it necessary to buy in advance?
Renting a tour boat requires advance booking. It is recommended to book well in advance, especially during peak season.
Practical information on board
How many people can you accommodate?
Capacity depends on the type of boat. The largest tour boats can take around 70 people, while smaller boats can accommodate fewer.
Can I bring dogs?
For private tours, this is agreed individually when booking.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so you need a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Walkers can be brought along.
Can I bring my own drinks and food and enjoy them while sailing?
Yes, you are allowed to bring your own food. However, you are responsible for practical matters such as glassware, tableware and cleanup.
You are not allowed to bring your own drinks on tours where we sell drinks ourselves, such as Musik på Åen. Out of consideration for the other guests, drinks brought along must not be a nuisance to others.
We recommend that you order drinks in advance from our kiosk. Then it will be packed and ready before departure, saving you the hassle.
Can I bring a stroller?
For a private tour, strollers can be brought along by appointment.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
Can Aafarten provide catering?
Yes, you can purchase refreshments such as coffee, cake, sandwiches, tapas or drinks.
Is there a sound system on board?
Yes, the boats have a sound system and microphone that can be used during the tour. It is also possible to have live music on board by appointment.
