Put together your own wine tasting
When you rent your own tour boat, you also have the option to add an atmospheric wine or gin tasting.
As we cruise peacefully up the Odense River, you’ll be introduced to the selected tastings and have plenty of opportunity to enjoy both the natural surroundings and each other’s company.
You’re free to choose the theme that best suits your event. This could include, for example, a rosé tasting, a champagne tasting, sparkling wines, French or Italian wines—or perhaps a gin tasting for those of you looking for something a little different.

The tour begins in Munkemose and passes the beautiful villas in the Hunderupkvarteret district, Odense Zoo and ends in the beech forest at Fruens Bøge. Along the way, our guide tells you about the sights and areas you experience from the boat.
The whisper of history
An exciting historical lecture about the history of Odense Aafart since 1882. Hear the story of the time when the sailing trip was reserved for the rich and the elegant, who were going to the ball in Fruens Bøge, as well as about the major events and challenges throughout the time.

You also have the option to decorate the boat exactly as you wish, so the atmosphere and style match your wedding and personal taste.
At Odense Aafart, you can choose to start your wedding day with a romantic boat ride on the Odense River before dinner. You can also choose to have the wedding ceremony take place on board the boat or in the idyllic surroundings at Fruens Bøge. The boat can also serve as transportation to Fruens Bøge or Odense Zoo, where you can also hold your wedding ceremony.
Sailing with music
Bring some music along for the ride. The boat trip is a wonderful experience in itself, but if it’s spiced up with live music, you’ll have an event in a league of its own.

When you rent a tour boat from Odense Aafart, you get your own private boat with a captain for your event. The tour takes place on Odense River and is customized to your wishes and duration.

Odense Aafart has sailed on the Odense River for over 130 years and has for generations communicated the city’s history and nature to both locals and visitors.
Who can rent a tour boat?
Private groups, companies, associations and corporations can rent a tour boat. It is often used for corporate events, birthdays, receptions, networking meetings and social events.
What makes renting a private tour boat special?
You get a closed and exclusive setting on the water, where you decide the atmosphere, program and catering. It provides a different and atmospheric experience in the middle of Odense.

Where do you sail when you rent a tour boat?
The trip takes place on Odense River between Munke Mose and Fruens Bøge – the same stretch as the other tour boats.
Can the route be customized?
For private bookings, we can customize the duration and focus to suit your program.
Can you get dropped off along the way?
It is possible to arrange stops, for example in Fruens Bøge, if planned in advance.
Can you sail to the Funen Village?
Yes, Odense Aafart offers boat tours to Fruens Bøge Forest, which is located near the Funen Village Museum. From the Aafart pier, it’s about a 900-meter walk through the beautiful beech forest along the stream.
You can therefore take a boat ride with Odense Aafart and experience the museum at Den Fynske Landsby, the H.C. Andersen Festival, and concerts.

How do I book a tour boat?
Tour boat rental requires advance booking by contacting Odense Aafart. This is typically done via form, email or phone.
When is it necessary to buy in advance?
Renting a tour boat requires advance booking. It is recommended to book well in advance, especially during peak season.
Practical information on board
How many people can it accommodate?
Capacity depends on the type of boat. The largest tour boats can take around 70 people, while smaller boats can accommodate fewer.
Are dogs allowed?
For private tours, this is agreed individually when booking.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so you need a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Walkers can be brought along.
Can I bring my own drinks and food and enjoy them while sailing?
Yes, you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks. However, you are responsible for practical matters such as glasses, tableware, and cleanup.
You are not allowed to bring your own beverages on trips where we sell beverages ourselves—such as Musik på Åen. Out of consideration for other guests, any beverages you bring must not cause a nuisance to others.
We recommend that you order beverages in advance at our kiosk. That way, they’ll be packed and ready before departure, and you’ll avoid any hassle.
Can I bring a stroller?
For a private tour, strollers can be brought along by appointment.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
Can Aafarten provide catering?
Yes, you can purchase refreshments such as coffee, cake, sandwiches, tapas or drinks.
Is there a sound system on board?
Yes, the boats have a sound system and microphone that can be used during the tour. It is also possible to have live music on board by appointment.
