Our coffee is carefully selected and hand-roasted from the local coffee roaster Kaffe Lars. The beans from Kaffe Lars come exclusively from certified coffee farms.

Odense Aafart has sailed on the Odense River for over 130 years and has for generations communicated the city’s history and nature to both locals and visitors.

No, it’s not. This is a private group booking where the boat is rented for your event and coffee and cake are part of the experience.

You get a calm and cozy setting for socializing, where nature along Odense River forms the backdrop for coffee, cake and fellowship.

Where does the cruise take place?
The cruise takes place on Odense River, departing from Munke Mose and sailing towards Fruens Bøge – the same route as Aafart’s other private events.
Can the route be customized?
For private bookings, we can customize the duration and focus to suit your program.
Can you get off along the way?
As a rule, the event takes place as one continuous voyage. Any requests for stays are agreed in advance.
Can we sail to Den Fynske Landsby?
Yes, Odense Aafart offers boat tours to Fruens Bøge Forest, which is located near the Funen Village Museum. From the Aafart pier, it’s about a 900-meter walk through the beautiful beech forest along the stream.
You can therefore take a boat ride with Odense Aafart and experience the museum at Den Fynske Landsby, the H.C. Andersen Festival, and concerts.
How long does the event last?
The duration depends on how long you rent the tour boat. The event is planned based on your wishes and program.

How do you book a boat trip with coffee and cake?
The event is booked as a private group experience via Odense Aafart. You send an inquiry with the desired date, number of participants and duration.
When do I need to buy tickets in advance?
Wine tasting requires advance booking. It is recommended to book well in advance – especially during high season.
Can this experience be given as a gift?
Yes, sailing with coffee and cake can be used as a gift experience for both corporate and private groups.
Practical information on board
Are dogs allowed on board?
For private tours, this is agreed individually when booking.
Is there a restroom on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can you board the tour boat in a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so you need a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Walkers can be brought along.
Can you bring your own food and drinks and enjoy them while sailing?
Yes, but not on trips where we sell beverages (e.g., Musik på Åen). It must not disturb others. We do recommend that you order drinks in advance at our kiosk to save you the trouble. They’ll be packed and ready before departure.
For private tours, this can be arranged at the time of booking.
Can I bring a stroller?
For a private tour, strollers can be brought along by appointment.
Is smoking allowed on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart operate in all kinds of weather?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
