Munke Mose - Skovsøen - Munke Mose

The By-Route is our most popular canoe route – and for good reason! It’s ideal for those who want to enjoy a day on the water without having to worry about transportation back and forth.

On the trip, you’ll pass Odense Zoo, where it’s often possible to spot some of the animals up close. You’ll also sail along Langelinie, where the beautiful old villas create a cozy and charming atmosphere. When you reach the meadow at Skovsøen, you can find a nice place to sit down and enjoy the food you brought along. Here you’ll find peace and quiet overlooking the lake and the trickling fountain.

If you need a sweet treat, you can treat yourself to an ice cream from Skovsøens Ishus, and there are also toilets available at the lake.
This route is a favorite among our guests – and it is especially suitable for beginners. The river is wide and calm, so it’s easy to navigate and pass each other without difficulty.

Along the way, you may encounter one of Aafarten’s boats – give the skipper a friendly wave and pull to the side so the boat can pass without any problems.

Odense Aafart's Tour Boats

Please note that Odense Aafart’s tour boats sail on this stretch, so you may experience some traffic on the river.

When you meet the tour boats, please sail to the side as the tour boats are not able to do so. The channel is located in the middle of the river.

Your canoe will be ready at the chosen pick-up location at the agreed time. Please note that especially in Bellinge there may be many canoes, some of which do not belong to us. How many people can we fit in a canoe?

The canoes have 3 seats and can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 smaller children (max 35 kg per child). It is your responsibility to assess whether your children can share the center seat. However, for optimal stability, it is recommended that there are only 2 people in the canoe, as high weight can make the canoe unstable. The maximum load of the canoe is 400 kg, including luggage. Dogs are welcome, but at your own risk.
