Guided tours/lectures are booked together with the tour boat.
Our guide is ready on the day, so all you have to do is board the boat and enjoy the tour.

Where does a guided tour go?
Guided tours sail from Munke Mose in Odense city along Odense River and end in Fruens Bøge.
Can the route be customized?
For private bookings, we can customize the duration and focus to suit your program.
Can you get off along the way?
For a private guided tour, the route is planned as one stretch towards Fruens Bøge – if you want to make stops along the way, this is agreed separately when booking.
Can you sail to Den Fynske Landsby?
Yes, Odense Aafart offers boat tours to Fruens Bøge Forest, which is located near the Funen Village Museum. From the Aafart pier, it’s about a 900-meter walk through the beautiful beech forest along the stream.
You can therefore take a boat ride with Odense Aafart and experience the museum at Den Fynske Landsby, the H.C. Andersen Festival, and concerts.
How long does a guided tour last?
Typically around 1-2 hours depending on purpose and agreement when booking.

How do I book a guided tour or a lecture?
You send an inquiry to Odense Aafart, and the guided sailing/lecture is booked together with the boat rental.
When is it necessary to buy in advance?
Guided tours/lectures always require advance booking to secure boat and guide.
Can this be given as a gift?
Yes – guided tour/lecture can be given as a gift experience.
Practical information on board
Are dogs allowed on board?
For guided tours, this is agreed individually when booking.
Is the cruise suitable for children?
Yes, the trip is suitable for children. Children experience nature up close and the trip takes place at a leisurely pace. Smaller children must be accompanied by an adult.
Is there a restroom on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can you board the tour boat in a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so you need a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Walkers can be brought along.
Can you bring your own food and drinks and enjoy them while sailing?
Yes, but not on trips where we sell beverages (e.g., Musik på Åen). It must not disturb others. We do recommend that you order drinks in advance at our kiosk to save you the trouble. They’ll be packed and ready before departure.
For private tours, this can be arranged at the time of booking.
Can I bring a stroller?
On a guided tour, strollers can be brought along by appointment.
Is smoking allowed on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart operate in all kinds of weather?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
