How long does the trip take?

The River cruise takes approximately 1 hour in total. Departure from Munke Mose is always at full o’clock. Arrival at Odense Zoo 20 minutes past, and arrival at Fruens Bøge at half past.

Yes, if you think it will be comfortable sailing and that there are many people around it. Note: you are not allowed to bring dogs into the ZOO.

Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.

Yes, but you need to have bought a ticket to Odense ZOO. You can also get on at ZOO and pay for the boat trip to the skipper or hop off at Munke Mose and pay at our kiosk. Please note that you are not allowed to bring dogs into the Zoo.

The ticket is valid for a full round with Aafarten. Munke Mose -> ZOO -> Fruens Bøge and back again – and not necessarily in that order. When you buy the ticket, you choose the time of the outward and return trip, and you are guaranteed a seat ticket. If you are unable to make your chosen return flight, you can take another flight. However, we cannot guarantee that there will be room.
The ticket is only valid on the day it is purchased.

Yes, you have the option to buy a ticket for the tour boat on board the boat. However, we can’t guarantee a seat if you haven’t purchased a ticket in advance.

Yes, but not on tours where we sell drinks (e.g. Musik på Åen). It must not be a nuisance to others. We recommend that you order drinks in advance in our kiosk to save you the hassle. It will be packed and ready before departure.

No, you can’t. However, if you rent a private tour boat, the renter decides whether or not smoking is allowed on board.

Yes, if you think it will be safe to canoe.

Yes, you can do that. Prams, strollers, pushchairs and the like cost a child ticket. Wheelchairs do not cost extra, but we do not have space for large, heavy electric wheelchairs.
Bicycles are not allowed on board.

Take the free Citybus, which stops almost at the door. Get off at Søndergade/Vestergade or Holsdore. The bus runs approximately every 10 minutes: Monday-Friday 9-16.30 and Saturday 11-15.30.
During festivals and major events e.g. in August and September there may be alternative routes, so check the timetable here
