During the high season we sail daily with several departures per hour, while in April and October there are fewer daily trips. We always recommend checking the sailing schedule before departure so you can plan your trip from Munke Mose, Odense Zoo or Fruens Bøge.

The route on Odense Aafart
A trip with Odense Aafart lasts approximately 1 hour in total.
Departure from Munke Mose is always at ‘full’.Departure from Odense Zoo is always 20 minutes past ‘full’ (stops are only made on the trip between Munke-Mose and Fruens Bøge.Departure from Fruens Bøge is always at ‘half past’.
You decide whether you want to start your tour at the Aafarten kiosk in Munke Mose at Odense Zoo or in Fruens Bøge. If you start the tour from Odense Zoo or Fruens Bøge and have not purchased a ticket in advance, it is possible to pay on board with MobilePay.
You are welcome to split the tour and make a stop in either Fruens Bøge or Munke Mose in the center of Odense. When you book your ticket, you first choose your ‘outing’ and then your ‘return trip’. You choose where these start and stop, and whether there will be a break along the way before the return trip.

A full River cruise lasts approximately 1 hour.
Munke Mose → Odense Zoo: approx. 20 minutes
Odense Zoo → Fruens Bøge: approx. 10 minutes
Munke Mose → Fruens Bøge: approx. 30 minutes
- Fruens Bøge → Munke Mose: approx. 30 minutes
The boat does not stop at Osende Zoo on the return trip.

When do the boats leave?

How long does the trip last?
A River cruise takes approximately 1 hour from start to finish.
You can split the tour and get off along the way. You choose your departure and return times when you book.
What if I'm late?
If you arrive late, you can sail on a later departure on the same day if seats are available. We cannot guarantee a seat.
Do you sail in bad weather?
We sail in all weathers. We sail in all weathers.
The boats are covered and you can borrow a blanket from the ticket office on chilly days.
Can I take a stroller with me?
Yes. Baby carriages and strollers can be brought on payment of one child ticket per carriage.

Yes, as long as the dog is not a nuisance to other guests.
Dogs are not allowed in Odense Zoo.

There are two steps down into the boats and staff are happy to help.

Can we be sure to come if there are many of us?
If you are more than 6 people, we always recommend booking in advance to secure seats on the desired departure.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board.
There is a toilet at the quay in Munke Mose.
Can I change my ticket on the same day?
You can rebook up to 24 hours before departure on River cruise on Odense River.
Event tickets cannot be changed as a rule.
