Are you ready to have your taste buds challenged? Then Odense Aafart has just the right event for you when we invite you to a beer tasting with the theme “IPA” in collaboration with Anarkist Beer & Food Lab.
The hop of beer – is the hop. And if hops are your thing, India Pale Ale is the beer for you.
IPA is one of the most popular types of beer and is probably the one that sees the most new beers being brewed. In recent decades, many sub-categories have emerged. West Coast, New England, session, hazy, dry hopped, etc.
The beer expert from Anarkist Beer & Food Lab is ready to teach you all about the different types of IPAs and what exciting and unique flavors the many types of hops add to the beer. And why is it called India Pale Ale?
Take a trip on the river to broaden your beer horizons and have a fascinating chat about the uniqueness of IPA!
The atmosphere is relaxed and there is plenty of room for both chatting and socializing on board.

Where is the IPA tasting sailing?
The sailing takes place on Odense River on the same stretch as Odense Aafart’s other tour boats.
Can you get off on the way?
No, the tour is conducted as a single event without boarding and disembarking along the way.
How long does the trip last?

Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?
Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance via Odense Aafart’s website, as there are a limited number of seats.

Can I bring my own drinks?
No, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks to this event.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.

How many beers do you taste?
Participants taste a selection of IPA beers, which are presented and reviewed along the way. Typically 5 types of beer are served.
Is IPA tasting suitable for a birthday or bachelor party?
Yes, the experience is great as a social activity for a birthday or a night out with friends. Tickets are purchased individually for a fixed date.
Is the tasting very technical?
No, the communication is adapted so that everyone can join in – whether you’re new to IPA or have already tasted many varieties
