When the sun is shining and summer is upon us, it’s undoubtedly the lager, IPA and generally light, bright summer beers without too high a percentage that we all go for. It’s the perfect genre of beer to enjoy on the terrace on a beautiful summer day.
These light, fresh beers are also a great thirst quencher in the heat. They have a light aroma and their hops are a perfect match for many summer dishes.

Combine a great summer evening with good beer and a boat trip up the beautiful natural surroundings along the Odense River. There’s plenty of opportunity to find your new favorite summer beer and get answers to questions about the beers and their production.
The atmosphere is relaxed and there is plenty of room for both chatting and socializing on board.

Sommerøl is a beer tasting with Odense Aafart, where the focus is on light, fresh and seasonal beers that match the summer atmosphere on Odense River. During the boat trip, participants taste a selection of summer beers and gain insight into taste, brewing and style.

Where does Sommerøl sail?
The sailing takes place on Odense River on the same stretch as Odense Aafart’s other tour boats.

No, the tour is conducted as a single event without boarding and disembarking along the way.

Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance via Odense Aafart’s website, as there are a limited number of seats.

Can I bring my own drinks?
No, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks as drinks are sold on board.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
