Port wine is more popular than ever in this country, and this tasting celebrates the history of port wine, the methods used to make it, and the many different styles that make this wine so unique.
Our sommelier will take you on a journey through the world of Port wine. You’ll learn the differences between Ruby and Tawny port, two of the most iconic styles in the wine world. We’ll taste some of the finest Port wines from renowned Port producers, giving you the opportunity to discover new and exciting flavors.
Enjoy the calm atmosphere as we sail along the Odense River and take part in a cozy and relaxed evening. The view of the picturesque nature will make the tasting experience even more memorable – a perfect combination of good wine and beautiful surroundings. There is hardly any better way to experience Odense River than in the company of a sommelier and a glass of port!

Port wine tasting is a themed sailing with Odense Aafart where you get the opportunity to learn about the history, production methods and different styles of port wine while tasting some of the best port wines on board.

You can expect a cozy, relaxed evening with a port tasting and a view of the nature along Odense River. A sommelier will guide you through the tasting experience and explain the difference between Ruby and Tawny port.

Can I bring my own drinks?
No, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks as drinks are sold on board.
Can I buy drinks on board?
Yes, drinks can be purchased during the voyage.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
