During this tasting, we present a selection of red wines that have set the standard over time. From elegant, fruity expressions to the more powerful and complex wines, you’ll taste how tradition, terroir and grape varieties have created the great classics of the wine world.
As we sail through the scenic landscape, our sommelier will guide you through the origins, aromas and flavors of wine – and offer tips on how best to pair classic red wines with food.
Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or a curious beginner, you’ll have an experience filled with knowledge, fun and good wine. The atmosphere on board is relaxed with room for chatting, questions and shared experiences.

Wine Tasting: Red Wine Classics is a themed wine tasting with Odense Aafart where, during a boat trip on Odense River, you get the opportunity to taste a selection of classic red wines that have set the standard in the wine world with their elegant, fruity and complex taste profiles.
What can you expect from the experience?
You can expect an enjoyable and educational evening where a sommelier will guide you through stories about the origins of wine, terroir and the evolution of red wine over time, as well as tips for food pairing with classic red wines.

The sailing takes place on Odense River on the same stretch as Odense Aafart’s other tour boats.

No, the tour is conducted as a single event without boarding and disembarking along the way.

Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?
Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance via Odense Aafart’s website, as there are a limited number of seats.

Only if seats are available. It is recommended to book well in advance.

Yes, if the gift card is valid for events at Odense Aafart.

Practical information on board
Can I bring my own drinks?
No, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks as drinks are sold on board.
Is there a toilet on board?
There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.
Can I get on the tour boat with a wheelchair?
Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.
Can you smoke on board the tour boats?
Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.
Does Odense Aafart sail in all weathers?
Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
