Learn to taste, understand and enjoy wine at eye level

Are you curious about wine but find it difficult to navigate grapes, regions and flavors? Then this tasting is for you. Dates: June 11 and August 27

On board the tour boat, we make the world of wine simple and accessible. We start with the basic tastes, explain the difference between the most well-known grapes and show you how to recognize what you like best.

Our sommelier guides you through a selection of both white and red wines, teaching you how to smell, taste and evaluate wine in an easy and straightforward way – without any wine talk.

The atmosphere is relaxed and there’s plenty of room for questions, laughter and good conversation. Whether you want to learn more about everyday wine glasses or just want to try something new, you’ll enjoy an evening filled with flavor and inspiration.

Wine tasting: Wine for beginners is a wine experience on the Odense River with Odense Aafart, where the world of wine is made simple and accessible. You’ll learn the basic tastes and differences of well-known grapes, while getting tips to recognize which wines you like best.

A sommelier guides you through a selection of both white and red wines, teaching you how to smell, taste and evaluate wine in an easy and straightforward way – without any wine talk. The experience is designed to make you more comfortable with wine and give you the tools to enjoy it in everyday life.

The event is especially aimed at adult beginners who want to learn more about the world of wine, but don’t necessarily have previous wine tasting experience.

Where does Wine for Beginners sail?

The sailing takes place on Odense River on the same stretch as Odense Aafart’s other tour boats.

Practical information on board

Can I bring my own drinks?

No, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks as drinks are sold on board.

There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.

Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.

Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.

Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
