We've made two suggestions for a program so you can see how an event can run.

You choose at what time you want to start the tour, which starts in Munke Mose. The earliest possible departure from Munke Mose is at 08:00, and the latest departure from Fruens Bøge is at sunset.

Please note that the tour always starts at ‘full’ o’clock from Munke Mose, and the return trip is at ‘half’ o’clock from Fruens Bøge.

What are Mystery Tours?

Mystery Tours is a special themed sailing trip with Odense Aafart, where the content of the tour is kept secret until or during the actual sailing. It’s a different experience on the Odense River, where the surprise is part of the concept.

Odense Aafart has sailed on the Odense River for over 130 years and has for generations communicated the city’s history and nature to both locals and visitors.

No, Mystery Tours differ from classic sailing tours in that the focus is on the surprise and the special theme – not just the route.

You can expect an atmospheric and entertaining boat trip on Odense River with an element of surprise. The content varies from time to time and can consist of stories, features or special experiences on board.

Mystery Tours are aimed at adults and young people who want a different experience on the Odense River – for groups of friends, couples or corporate events.

Route & Stop

Where does the sailing take place?

The cruise takes place on Odense River on the same route as Aafart’s other private events – departing from Munke Mose and sailing towards Fruens Bøge. The trip can also start from Fruens Bøge and end at Munke Mose.

Mystery Tours are conducted as a complete experience and there is generally no pick-up and drop-off along the way.

The duration depends on the specific Mystery Tour, but follows the planned sailing of the event.

Tickets & Booking

Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?

Yes, Mystery Tours require ticket purchase in advance via Odense Aafart’s website, as there are a limited number of seats.

Yes, if the gift card is valid for Odense Aafart events, it can be used when booking.

Yes, Mystery Tours are held on selected dates and times.

Practical information on board

Can I bring dogs?

For private tours, this is agreed individually when booking.

There is no toilet on board the tour boats. We recommend that you use the restrooms before departure.

Only manual wheelchairs can enter the tour boat. There are two steps down into the boats. There are no ramps, so it takes a pair of hands to help you down the two steps and into the boat. Then we carry the chair down afterwards.
Rollators can be brought along.

This depends on the specific Mystery Tour. If drinks are sold on board, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks.

For a private tour, strollers can be brought along by appointment.

Generally no, unless otherwise agreed for private tours.

Yes, Odense Aafart sails in all kinds of weather. The boats are covered and we sail on the Odense River on a stretch that is well protected from wind and weather.
